PATA New York is a not-for-profit membership-based association that is dedicated to facilitate meaningful partnerships to enhance the value, quality and sustainable growth of travel and tourism to and from countries in the Asia Pacific region and beyond.
Elizabeth Chin, the Executive Director of PATA New York Chapter and immediate past chair (2016-2022) of one of the most active PATA Chapters in the Americas, has recently been honored for her exceptional leadership and unwavering commitment to the Chapter. As the immediate past Chair and an honorary life member, Elizabeth has played a pivotal role in the success of PATA New York, which boasts a membership of approximately 200 travel industry professionals. Her visionary guidance and dedication to the Chapter have earned her a well-deserved award for significant leadership. We congratulate Elizabeth on this achievement and look forward to her continued contributions to PATA New York.

The Pacific Asia Travel Association connects public and private organizations for the responsible development of the travel and tourism industry.
The Association provides aligned advocacy, insightful research, and innovative events to its member organizations, which including government, state, and city tourism bodies; international airlines and airports; hospitality organizations, and educational institutions, as well as thousands of young tourism professional (YTP) members across the world.
The PATA network also embraces the grassroots activism the PATA Chapters and Student Chapters, who organize numerous travel industry training programs and business development events across the world. Thousands of travel professionals belong to the 32 local PATA Chapters worldwide, while hundreds of students are members of the 28 PATA Student Chapters globally.
We are proud to announce that the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) has reached a significant milestone this year, celebrating its 72nd anniversary. Since its founding in 1951, PATA has been the recognized authority on travel and tourism in the Asia Pacific region. Originally headquartered in Hawaii and later in San Francisco, PATA established its first chapters in New Zealand and Hong Kong in 1961, and in New York in 1962. As its membership grew, PATA relocated its headquarters to Bangkok in 1998 to be in the heart of the region it serves. Today, PATA remains dedicated to promoting sustainable tourism and providing valuable resources and networking opportunities to its members.
