Winter in Bern is a magical time, especially when the Parliament Square is transformed into an ice-skating rink. This 700m2 illuminated rink is a popular attraction for both
locals and tourists, who come to enjoy the unique setting of the Swiss parliament building while practicing their turns on the ice. The ice rink restaurant is also a great
place to warm up and enjoy hot drinks and snacks. Our group traveled to Bern by rail from the Swiss Alps and took a walking tour of the beautiful city before leaving for
Zurich. We highly recommend adding ice skating at Parliament Square to your itinerary when visiting Bern in the winter.

Bern in the winter, Parliament Square (Bundesplatz) becomes a playground for ice skaters. This artificial ice rink amid the unique setting of the Swiss parliament building is
hugely popular with locals and tourists alike: every year, thousands of visitors lace up their ice skates and practice their turns on the 700m2 illuminated rink. The ice rink
restaurant warms cold feet and provides skaters with hot drinks and snacks.
From the Swiss Alps we traveled to Bern by rail. I took my group for a walking tour of the beautiful city before leaving for Zurich.
